Emsella treatment is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared procedure designed to support patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence. Instead of surgery or medication, it uses a specially engineered Emsella chair to deliver targeted electromagnetic energy directly to the pelvic floor muscles, strengthening them from the inside out.
At Dr Nazelia Clinic, Emsella treatment is offered as part of our broader approach to intimate wellness and pelvic health. Patients remain fully clothed throughout the 28-minute session, making it a private and comfortable experience with no recovery time required.

Emsella uses HIFEM (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology to create a magnetic field around the pelvic floor. Unlike electrical stimulation devices that deliver current through electrodes on the skin, HIFEM works through electromagnetic muscle stimulation, reaching deep pelvic floor muscles without internal probes or physical contact with the treatment area.
During each session, the Emsella chair delivers thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, producing the equivalent of over 11,000 Kegel-like contractions in a single 28-minute session. Over a course of sessions, the pelvic floor muscles are re-educated and strengthened, helping restore neuromuscular control and reduce urinary leakage.

Pelvic Floor Muscles: The group of muscles supporting the bladder, bowel, and pelvic organs, responsible for continence and core stability.
Deep Pelvic Musculature: HIFEM reaches muscle layers beyond what voluntary Kegel exercises can engage.
Full Pelvic Region: Treatment covers the entire pelvic floor evenly, rather than isolated muscle groups.
Your doctor at Dr Nazelia Clinic will assess your symptoms and medical history before confirming whether Emsella is the right option for your pelvic floor concerns.
BTL Emsella may be suitable for adults experiencing pelvic floor weakness or urinary incontinence who prefer a non-surgical option. You may be suitable if you:
A consultation can help guide you based on your concerns and goals.
BTL Emsella may not be suitable for everyone. As the treatment uses electromagnetic energy, certain medical conditions and implants may make it unsafe. You may not be suitable if you:
If any of these apply, it is important to inform your doctor during consultation so alternative options can be discussed.
Before Treatment
Your doctor will begin with a consultation to review your symptoms, medical history, and any implants or conditions that could affect suitability. You will be asked to empty your bladder before the session and remove any metal jewellery, piercings, or watches. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal accessories is recommended.
During Treatment
You will sit fully clothed on the Emsella chair for approximately 28 minutes. As the HIFEM energy activates, you may feel a tingling sensation and pelvic floor muscle contractions. The sensation is usually described as unusual but not painful. Many patients read, use their phone, or simply relax during the session.
After Treatment
There is no downtime. You can return to your usual activities immediately. Some patients notice early improvements in bladder control after the first few sessions, with continued progress as the full treatment course is completed.

Aftercare Guidelines
Emsella treatment requires no recovery time, but the following guidance helps support best results:
Short-Term Effects
Most patients experience no significant side effects. Some may notice mild muscle fatigue in the pelvic area, similar to the feeling after a workout, or brief tingling during the session itself. These sensations typically resolve quickly. If you experience ongoing discomfort or unusual symptoms, contact the clinic for guidance.
